Assemblies of God District Directory

The Assemblies of God in the United States consists of District Councils. The District offices work with the Assemblies of God churches in their respective territories. The Districts correspond sometimes, but not always, with State boundaries.


Arkansas District of the Assemblies of God
The home of the Arkansas District of the Assemblies of God is in Little Rock, Arkansas. Rev. Larry Moore is the Superintendent of more than 500 churches. The District is a leader in giving to the denominations Speed-the-Light program, which supplies equipment and vehicles for missionaries worldwide. They are planning extensive activities via the Internet to strengthen the local churches.

Illinois District Assemblies of God Resource Center
Rev. Larry Griswold directs the Illinois District Assemblies of God Resource Center which has grown to 307 churches of great diversity—large, small, and in-between, urban, suburban, and rural. Illinois has been a leader in building ethnic churches, particularly in the Chicago area, as well as inner-city churches and churches for the deaf. The district currently has 819 credentialed ministers. The district office is located on the Lake Williamson Christian Center grounds.

North Texas District Resource Center
As district superintendent, Rev. Rich DuBois leads the North Texas District Resource Center which represents approximately 550 churches and 1650 ministers in the North Texas area. The Lakeview Camp opened in the summer of 1997. It is one of the newest and finest facilities around for camps, conferences, retreats, and reunions. The camp is built on 300 acres of wooded, rolling hills just 45 minutes south of downtown Dallas.

Northern California-Nevada District Council
District Superintendent James Braddy heads this District Council which is composed of approximately 440 churches, 1500 credentialed ministers, and close to 125,000 adherents. The different ministries are overseen by one of four departments: Church Development and Education (CDE), Women's Ministries, Men's Ministry, or Youth. Their offices are located in Sacramento, California . Nearly 50,000 square feet of office space allows them to house all of their ministries under one roof .

Northwest Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God
The Northwest Ministry Network is comprised of the pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and laity of the approx. 350 Assemblies of God churches in Washington and Northern Idaho. As a third generation pastor in the Assemblies of God, Rev. Les Welk offers godly leadership as the district superintendent. The mission of the Network is to fulfill the Great Commission by partnering with and empowering church leaders to develop healthy, growing Christians and churches; to strengthen and network ministry teams; and to effectively reach unchurched people in our communities and around the world.

Ohio District Council of the Assembies of God
Superintendent Doug Clay has led the Ohio District for many years. The latest thrust of the district is the Heartland Conference Retreat Center which opened in 2001. The campus is located approximately 45 minutes north of Columbus, Ohio and situated on over 352 beautiful, wooded acres. The facilities can accommodate groups from 6 to 600. The district bulletin is offered on-line.

Pennsylvania-Delaware District Council
The district officers are elected by the Assemblies of God ministers of the district. They work together to serve the needs of the churches. Rev. Stephen Tourville is the superintendent. The district has a conference center located in the beautiful Cumberland Valley south of Blue Mountain near Carlisle with access to the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Interstate 81.

Potomac District A/G Online
Dr. H. Robert Rhoden is the Potomac District superintendent serving churches in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Potomac Park Camp is the district camp. Since 1929 people have gathered under the towering oak trees. Thousands have met Christ, been empowered by the Holy Spirit and called by God as missionaries and ministers during nearly three-quarters of a century of continuous ministry. South Texas Assemblies of God
Rev. Joseph Granberry is the superintendent of the South Texas District Council. Their vision is to build a site not only to find information about the district, but a place where you can learn about the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Fresh Prespectives is the online edition of the quarterly district Christian Education newsletter. It helps teachers and leaders with ideas, inspiration, and information.
